Elegant
Essen Catering has been considered one of Atlanta’s
prime catering companies since its founding in the late 80’s.
Owner Marlene Bercovitch, along with her husband Ed built the
company from scratch. (It all started with Marlene’s “secret”
recipe for “Whiskey Cake”.)
Since
1988, the Bercovitches have developed a reputation for delicious,
efficient food service and catering, and built strong, lasting relationships
with many institutions, universities, corporations and private individuals.
The company has been extremely gratified to have catered numerous
celebrations, receptions and parties throughout Atlanta and North
Georgia.
Fitness
Feasts is a “FRESH” division of Elegant
Essen Catering, with emphasis on healthful, delicious,
low calorie meals delivered twice weekly throughout metro Atlanta
and its suburbs. All of Fitness Feasts’ products have the
benefit of being kosher certified by the Atlanta Kashruth Commission,
one of the America’s most respected kosher certifying agencies.

Marlene
and her husband Ed Bercovitch relocated to Atlanta from Texas in
1987.
For
the past two decades, their successful catering company Elegant
Essen has been providing full service kosher catering to many
of Georgia’s corporations, institutions, and universities
and to private events and parties.
Never
one to rest, Marlene is delighted to present her new enterprise,
Fitness Feasts to fill the need for delicious, healthful meals for
those trying to lose or control their weight, or to just eat healthier.
The
Fitness Feasts meal program was developed in conjunction with
a registered dietician. All meals are prepared fresh, and to insure
convenience, Marlene has initiated a weekly
delivery plan. As an added assurance of quality, Fitness Feasts
is certified kosher by the AKC, The Atlanta Kashruth Commission.

Thomas Spell
Fitness Feasts Executive Chef
A 1984
graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA)
Hyde Park New York, Chef Thomas Spell began his career in Washington
DC where he demonstrated his talents in The Four Seasons, Marriott
and Park Hyatt hotel kitchens.
Chef
Thomas relocated to Atlanta in the early 1990’s where he continued
to refine and expand his culinary skills in contemporary gourmet
and kosher cookery.

Thomas has shared his knowledge and expertise in selecting and developing
the menus for Fitness Feasts. The selections offer clients a combination
of delicious, freshly prepared food, flavorful, healthful ingredients
and the finest seasonal specialties available.
